I understand what the company is doing here in terms of of their plans to expand into multiple areas. Why else do you think I’m holding this stock? I’m not new to IBX, I’ve been holding since early 2019. I’m not trying to downramp, I’m 100% sold on the technology.

The company has never said this, but people keep saying how it will circumvent the need for a biopsy. Even the replies on this thread keep saying this. It’s important to understand that breast resections are not only performed for invasive cancer. Biopsy results are not just benign or malignant. Pathology is far more nuanced than that. Sometimes they perform resections for DCIS, that is, non invasive atypia. Sometimes a “benign” biopsy will be reported as atypical ductal hyperplasia- that’s information that will necessitate further follow up that you can only get through a biopsy.

Does this mean that magsense doesn’t have a role to play? Absolutely not- I think it will play an absolutely crucial role in the management of cancer. All I’m saying is that everyone who thinks that biopsies are done and dusted clearly have no idea what they are talking about.

But think about this- someone has colon cancer that is picked up on a colonoscopy. The cancer is biopsied and the molecular profile of the tumour is established. The molecular aberrations are then specifically targeted using magsense and the body is then scanned to look for evidence of metastatic disease. Sure, this sort of personalised medicine is still years away, but this is where we are heading and why I think the fundamentals ideas behind IBX are absolutely groundbreaking.

Either way, we are all in this together and hopefully we all make a lot of money. My biggest regret to date is that I didn’t buy more when it was trading around 1c. The power of hindsight.
