So why should today's generations apologize for something that happened many generations ago? Very hypocritical to say sorry for something that in many cases they do not even know what they are saying sorry for Should the Church apologize for the massacre of the Cathars? Should the Zulus apologize for the massacre of fellow Africans to establish their Zulu empire? Should Norway, Sweden and Denmark apologize for the raping and looting of yesteryear in the British Isles? Should France do the same for what the Normans did? Should Spain apologize to Mexico for the Aztec genocide? I can't see Turkey apologizing to Armenia for their genocidal relationship either History is littered with hundreds of examples of wars, genocides, bitter feuds and ongoing armed and bloody struggles - many of which included oppression and slavery as well as a great deal of misery and death I do not condone what may have happened 200 years ago but I will never apologise for it because it never concerned or involved me or any of my family I can only apologize for my wrongdoings anything else is hypocrisy It's a bit like the question I asked you about the dogs So - do I blame my dog if your dog crapped on your carpet? you can't see the relevance because the relevance is obviously uncomfortable for you but it is very relevant It's all about blame, guilt and apology and whilst many may be vulnerable to being guilt tripped I am sorry to disappoint you - I do not fit that category

Ah Democracy at its finest! Everyone is entitled to their point of view...and in the end, democracy is just one big squabble with the majority "winning"...whatever that means...lol
