Complete bollocks. I’ve observed too many ASX releases being drafted that seek to find seemingly legitimate words to otherwise mask the full truth from shareholders. (It’s not a pretty sight). And this one gets a gold medal. May have even set a world record in the process. How exactly have these new (relatively mild, at this time) outbreaks in only the last couple of days physically impacted the sales outlook to the significant extent described? Don’t be a patsy. Be forensic. Shareholders deserve to be given far more granular explanation as to how management’s excuse marries with the impact, and particularly given the recent re-affirmation of guidance. Any chance this is just a consequence of managerial failure...? They are not even talking about actual impact ... but ‘in the event of’. Perhaps they should put out another release tomorrow and say that ‘Given Pyongyang’s decision to blow up its liaison office today, in the event of a nuclear conflagration on the Korean Peninsula we have decided to lower our revenue expectations to $0.00.’. I mean, really ... ASX should investigate!
