Hypothetical only, I just dont see the need to spin off any new companies. Wesfarmers have Coles and Bunnings and I see no synergies there, so I could understand a breakup. With the divisions inside NVX they all work within a very close, defined area, namely Li O batteries, I can see definite synergies even to making their own batteries. The testing business could be spun off to give the semblance of independance to avoid conflict of interest but this will be a small part of T/over comparatively so of little interest to SH. When they get to a solid state battery division I could see some merit in hiving that off because they could well be in competition with one another. However as a SH I would feel more comfortable with that division in house in case solid state kills off LiO over time. IMO I cant even see why this is an issue on anyones mind, Mx or SH. Feral
