From when I was a kid I remember a story. There was an oil boom and a guy put an ad in the paper saying send him a thousand dollars he would look for oil for a year and if he didnt find any he would refund the thousand dollars. Well he collected the money and put it in a bank. Then he got into his boat looked around Port Phillip bay didnt see any oil and the after a year he returned the money and kept the interest. At least that was an honest scam he did every thing that he promised.
