Well W3, I tend to the same view as you, save that aside from pure technicals I think very short term we will need a push from the gold price to elevate much above about $1.15. I think we can probably get past a $1 easily to about $1.10 - $1.15 at least intraday regardless of whether the gold is at the upper or lower end of a $1670 to $1760 range.
I have of course, put my money where my mouth is - its pretty good buying currently IMO - and wait keenly for the next few days and weeks action.
