"Under the new Qld election rules a party candidate cannot spend over $57,000, an independent cannot spend over $87,000, parties can spend $92,000 per seat and unions or third parties can spend $87,000 per seat. “Under the guise of keeping Clive Palmer out,” the ALP have given union’s a hefty $1.7 million spending budget per seat while essentially limiting the spending of the LNP, Nationals and other groups with no union connections, to $149,000, Mr Murray said"
How does Murray work that out. Labor can spend $92000 as a party, a candidate $57000 and the union $87000= $236,000. LNP can with the backing of any of the many Business council or corporate advertising spend the same $236000. How does Paul Muuray get the figure of $1.7 million PER SEAT.
