Belarus is a 1/4 the size of Ukraine population wise and I'm not sure you'd think the civil war in Ukraine would make it an ideal choice for medical research though maybe in regard battlefield trauma and perhaps the occasional chemical agent being used. Russia controls and influences a lot of activity in and around Ukraine so perhaps some prisoners could be made available for medical research maybe that could be the selling point. The US aren't to happy with the Ukraine after the whole Trump saga so I'm not sure if there would be a whole lot of respect of a trial being conducted in the Ukraine.
It could be imagined that any claims coming out of that part of the world might well be treated with a fair degree of sceptisim but hey the news releases if really positive would likely create a trading opportunity long before serious scrutiny I would imagine.
