After pondering this issue today and reading today's posts, this is what I think.

There is, amongst some, a disquiet about the lack of information and transparency - particularly about Oraline 8 and what happened at Medica.

This is understandable. I think the company, to some extent, but more particularly HC (and I am a guilty party) have built up expectations about the Oraline 8 'launch' (and as far as HC is concerned, probably far too much). These expectations are not being met, so there is dissatisfaction.

But the problem is, in my view, much more to do with the 'inflated' expectations (that we have contributed to)rather than the substance of what the company is doing.

I think the absence of an announcement is reasonable, Simply because, at this stage, there is nothing to add to previous announcements other than to say "WE WENT TO MEDICA".

The Chairman confirmed only a week ago that we were going. We don't need a day to day commentary unless something 'material' changes. Such as NOT going to Medica. That would be material and announcable. But, having gone, as announced by the Chairman last week, it is hardly worth just announcing that "yes, we did go".

What more could you say. The full outcomes of Medica - in terms of contacts made, follow-ups etc - will not become apparent for some time and will, I believe, be the subject of updates when substantial developments occur.

NOW TO AN IMPORTANT ISSUE

We need to separate the course of the Oraline 8 showcasing to distributors (as detailed above) and whether or not that should be the subject of an ASX announcement from the reasonable expectations of shareholders to SEE and be INFORMED (textually and graphically) of the company's innovations and progress.

This is where the company's website comes in.

Simultaneous with the 'showcasing' of O8 in Germany (ie making it 'public') the website should have been updated. Specifically, the 'products' and 'research and development' sections should now have details of O8 - with the same sort of details - pictures and words - that are there for O4.

In fact, both these sections are now way out of date. They need info and promotional details for O4, O8, Probeline and perhaps even the Bioscreens split cup (now that the first orders have now been received).

The R&D section, for example, could appropriately mention the showcasing of O8 at Medica and some of the initial responses to it.

In summary, in my view, we need an appropriate update of the website (so it works like it is meant to do) and we need a progress report on the commercialisation of O8 - but only when we have 'material' developments that are reportable (ie non-confidential). That will come in time.
