You were very lucky to to get those CNP shares at the bottom, with a bit of risk as well, but others who were investing in the earlier period (before 2008) didn't do so well.
What I can't understand is why the Australian REITs took such a hit, and the real crisis was in the US. We didn't even have a recession in 2009.
