During this time of upheaval and global uncertainty, it is good to remind oneself of the opportunities that exist on our own doorstep.

While much of the excitement about ALC’s future growth prospects has focussed on the UK (with good reason of course), I continue to be impressed by the company’s achievements and inroads being made within the domestic health system, and excited but what may lie ahead.

Hence I continue to dig around for further bits and pieces of information that may help gain a greater insight into how the business is tracking (outside of that contained within ASX announcements).

I do not recall previously seeing the reference on this forum (or linked to ALC’s site and “success stories”) but I could be wrong. My apologies if so. Does not hurt to recap in any event.

Brief summary:
1. Appears to have been published in or about early March 2020 (around the onset of the CV-19 issue, may explain why it has been “lost in the wash” a little?).

2. Explains ALC’s Intelligent Patient Journey System (iPJS) with Western Health - i.e Miya Precision.

3. The project was funded under the Victorian Government’s Market Validation Program (MVP - yes they do seem to enjoy the liberal use of acronyms).

4. Conclusion drawn was that the iPJS reduced costs by effectively tracking and managing discharge targets; it also improved care team productivity and promoted safer patient journeys.

5. Western Health has made a “sustained commitment” to the success of the iPJS and it is operational in the orthopaedic, stroke and cancer wards at Western Hospital.

6. The ALC representative is quoted as saying they had a high-level of interest and we “two orders placed from other health services for the iPJS.”

Positive stuff.

Do we have a more recent update as to the state of play with Western Health?

It is also not clear whether anything has yet come through in terms of the “two orders” for Miya Precision (assumes to be within Victoria), however, this may be something else to which we can look forward in coming months.
