True. It's still more unlikely than likely Tesla are going to work with NVX directly at the present.

The delay could be they want to have lots of their new batteries in cars ready to go to beat the 'Osborne Effect' etc. Or, their batteries are currently underperforming expectations..

However, with CATL stealing some of their thunder of the first MMB, I reckon Tesla will want to smash through that barrier in a way that shows they're still way ahead. Can they achieve it? Possibly - they have some of the best in the business working for them, so one never knows, and I'm happy if they do (I invest in Tesla as well).

However, if their new MMBs are similar in specs to that of CATL, and if Jeff Dahn has indicated adding some NVX tech to achieve that, it certainly would be a possibility, albeit a slight one.
