Hi all, my 2 bob 4 what its worth,:) Fiddlers Creek ran last year for a week and works a treat , got a couple of warmans missing now but, problem with it is only about 10t a shift, lack of water and lack of room for tailings IMO.

Maldons mill is a great setup proven gear and proven operators and can easily handle course gold as well, Inglewood has a gravity plant going 'ish' so theres another option, dunno about Bendigo's recovery rate not that flash from what I hear, they have a falcon concentrator but I dont think anyone uses it or knows how to,,,, sorry having a dig,,, LOL

With the Morning Star ya can't beat the flexiblity of the air leg, a small single boom jumbo would only give ya say 2.7- 2.9m cuts say and then you have to power it ,, electric, upgrade power prob, diesel/ hyd more flexible but big upgrade in vent system would be needed and then again more dirt each round prob stuff up the cycle/shift if a rail bogger was retained, would have to go with a little 1 m3 diesel bogger but again heat and fumes! there r horses for courses and at the moment I reckon MCO r on the right track in choice of mining method.

Oh, Tailings would be great u/g for sand fill saves on ground support in the stopes etc.. but the ground may not need sand fill I havent been u/g there, :)

Just shooting from the hip (mouth ) here a bit, and just going by the pics of the mine on the website, there seems to me that the hoisting system (again unless its been fixed since that pics were taken) is non compliant and should be address asap or it will stop operations at some stage in the future, specifically there are no detaching hooks on the cage which makes me believe that it's an old pic cause NO-ONE would operate a hoisting systen in this day and age with out the safety devices installed.

THe Morniing Star imo is going to be a great project, just have to tie up a few loose ends.

    Well thats my rant! ;)
    cheers
