Anyone actually toured the New Hope mine sites or perhaps works there?
I want some observation on how well their Open Cut mine is set up for Flood Avoidance.
That picture of the BHP dragline submerged at Emerald a few years back still haunts!
I know Soul Pat has done long term mining in Indonesia so must be pretty experienced in Monsoon rainfall and still maintaining operations,but my wife,the long range weather forcaster,predicts SE Qld Floods this year so I was wondering if anyone out there knows some/anything on this NHC factor.
I'll send the Company an email maybe later but are there any HC'ers done any "research" on this factor?
