The September 11 Terrorist attack also saw significant reduction in demand for flying. How hard is it for the aviation industry to learn from the past and set up a fund to keep the business ticking along when things go pear shaped (which they do). Their industry clearly and historically has not been a stable one, I hope that QANTAS and all airlines learn from this and plan for Rainy days in future!
I think QANTAS is an amazing company, an it will bounce back, but there is more tough times ahead before that will happen.
Restrictions in travel should continue and rightly so, anyone who says otherwise is happy to put $$$$$ before lives. Regardless if its 1 life or thousands and as McGowan has proven Vic reintroducing restrictions, what exactly will that do for the economy? Talk about Hypocrisy....
Everyone should prefer a temporarily unemployed tax payer rather than a dead one!
