I bought in at a 6.10 average. Not even slightly up tight about this latest drop. If it does drop into the 4’s, I’ll happily grab another lot. I guess the thing I would ask new investors with the willies atm who also bought in the 6’s, why did you think it was a good move at the time? Did you see Zip as a company that would return you a profit in the future? I did, and I’ll continue to hold.

If all that red is burning your eyes out right now, look away or a bit, is my advice. This is a growing company with a foot in the door of one of the worlds biggest consumer markets. Even in a recession, people still need stuff. People still buy clothes, shoes, homewares, people still need to service their cars, pay their bills. BNPL is attractive to consumers who have reduced
cashflow. That doesn’t necessarily equal ‘bad debt’ either. I would imagine there are people currently struggling to service their credit card debts too, because stringent credit checks aren’t done with a crystal ball in hand, and even the most solid looking borrower can have unexpected dramas. Case in point, Covid.

At least Zip offers consumers the ability to manage their debt effectively without default. I’m in this for the long haul, even if the red hurts my ego a little. There’s a reason I hold zip though, let’s not lose sight of why we bought in the first place. IMO.
