CCL is a staple dividend stock in my portfolio since the 2000 crash at $3.85 and happy to say that I still hold that parcel. I added more during the GFC and 2013 crash. The last few years have been terrible and it looked like she was on the mend but not to be thanks to the Covid. Fortunately, I think this is another buying opportunity. The dividend over the years means CCL is now a free carry (or close to) in the portfolio and I don't particularly see any reason to sell. Any accretion from here is just icing on the cake.
A move from 8 to 12 is not unexpected as she did it last year from memory. CCL is not the easiest stock to own but she has one of the most stable dividend that I know. If you buy CCL expecting accretion in the short term then I dare say you may need to look at the historical action as CCL is a turtle. Good luck and holding long on this is where the real money is...
Is there a hope for CCL to climb ?, page-34
