MEO drilled Heron-2 which your following description more or less relates to. also the Darwin was supposed to provide feed for an LNG project, not methanol. methanol needs CO2 rich feed, and this was to come from the Plover. which no reasonable person doubts has been established in the Plover in both Heron-2 and Blackwood. discoveries have been officially declared to the NT gov in both cases, and more details are included in the annual report. these are official documents, and approved by the board of the company for public release. hence one would imagine there is a very strong case for the validity of same. certainly more so than for half remembered scuttlebutt.
