Not quite, not if the US shares hasn't gone up by 871% yet like the Australian shares have. The mistake, I think, is assuming the 60% increase is happening on top of a 871% increase, when the 871% gain hasn't happened yetfor the US shares. What they have had, is a 100% increase yesterday. The 60% further increase today brings the total gains to date for the US shares to around 220%.
So by that reasoning, they are far behind from catching up to the Australian shares' gains to date. That's not to say they can't go up more when the US markets open properly, but so far it doesn't look like it's anything to get excited about yet.
