I looked at selling on Amazon a year or so ago, I remember reading any product in the top 1000 should do well, I was surprised at that high figure but after reading more on the subject they have a massive population of buyers and over 50% of online sales for the US are now through Amazon.
The key is to be on the first page that's a winner but you compete with amazon owned products, unfortunately they have the control and market.
Meluka honey is still doing quite good by the current figures.
