I do like to read comments from people who are not geologists, who have no understanding of how mineral exploration works and the nearest they have ever been to the bush, let alone the African bush, is reading National Geographic while on long service leave from their public service job. How does the saying go "People who can, do. People who cant, criticise"

I was never gung ho - I was, and remain, totally pragmatic and realistic, and I have said several times, this project will probably fail, because that is how geology works. I understand what can be done, I understand the risks, I know when things are too hard, and I know when someone is just taking the piss.

So the difference is that I know what is going on, and you have no idea. But as a great man once said - opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one.
