I have been looking outside the square in developing a CR model for ICG . I appreciate constructive criticism and actual examples to support your comments. Please approach this concept with an open mind.
ASSUMPTIONS:
ICG have 4b shares on issue.
I own 20m shares being 0.005% of issued shares.
ICG wishes to raise $5m from existing SHs to commence drilling Riqueza.
ICG does not have a signed JVP
I want to maintain my 0.005% of the company
Given the above assumptions I will have to invest $25k at WHATEVER the issue price.
THE MODEL:
If ICG had an CR issue price of $0.005 even though current SP is $0.002 then new shares issued would be 1b.
My investment would be $25k to maintain my 0.005% of the Company.
IF money is raised at a considerable premium then I believe the SP will move upwards as the market perception will change from a negative to a positive given that ICG has the funds to start drilling. The converse applies as what happened after the last CR debacle.
If SP moved to $0.0035 after successful raise then the value of my investment would increase from $40k (20m shares at 0.002) to $87.5k (25k x 0.0035). My investment has increased to $87.5k at a cost of $25k.
There are many examples of Companies raising money at a discount to current SP and after announcing CR SP declines. LEG issued Shares in a placement to Creasy/IGO at $0.036. This announcement lifted the SP from $0.026 to $0.034. I realise it is not a direct comparison to ICG however ICG is ready to drill 14 compelling targets recommended by the experts.
Why should SH consider investing at so far above current SP?
ICG to provide 2 free attaching options with the CR.
Option 1. 1x12 month option @ exercise price $0.005.
Option 2. 1 x 4 year option
@ep $0.015
Given successful drill results ICG would have $5m from exercise Option 1 in 12 months and $15m in 4 years.
Please understand this a model. I would love your comments. I am thinking outside the norm. I also understand that existing SHs may not have the resources to participate. I firmly believe that ICG has compelling targets at Riqueza and successful drilling will bring in JVP to finish the job.
