I too have mused the obvious retraction of US influence in global affairs under Trump. Whether by design or funding limitations matters nought.

If this continues, it create a vacuum which puts a large, dangerous tear in the global time/space continuum imo.

China doesn’t exude benign intent in their recent aggressive expansion and punitive actions against countries seen as:

1. instigating review of their early CV-19 actions and/or
2. standing up to their use of trade and funding as a weapon, as well as
3. standing up to their not so clandestine cyber warfare actions and concerted efforts to embed influence within key western democracies
