Regarding overseas expansion, a recent article in the AFR said the following:
"While currently NEXTDC's eight operational data centres and three in the works are all located within Australia, chief executive Craig Scroggie has aspirations to expand offshore.The company's S2 data centre was a complex "vertical build" – and this is likely to be the structure any offshore data centres in Asia would need to take, given space constraints.Mr Scroggie has previously flagged Singapore and Japan as markets of interest, but the company is yet to secure a site in either country.There was only limited appetite from investors for an offshore expansion 12 months ago..."
