$12bn Fed grant program for next gen 9-1-1 has got to be the tip of the iceberg for MC infrastructure spend, and indeed LMR to LTE MCPTT spend globally. Furthermore, The First Responder Network Authority aka FirstNet recently approving $218m spend, with a portion going towards transitioning FirstNet core to 5G for which AT&T is delivering the solution.
Only 1 of 2 carriers has been selected for AT&T integrated public safety solution, with the first being Kodiak PTT offering by Motorola. The 2nd carrier offering is yet to selected. Samsung could very well be the 2nd MCPTT supplier for AT&T.
