Sorry to re-hash, but I don't think that Australian women are as weak or as timid as you are making out. If I said that to one of my missus, the first would have put the heater on so high it would have probably blown a fuse, while my current misus (being a little bit smarter), would have put both the heater and the air con on full blast, just to make her point.
