Having seen the film, I saw it as over-rated and cliche ridden. The cliches were laid on with a trowel so thick you could see it dripping off the screen. The opening scene was greeted with a very audible groan/laughter rom the audience.
Like many Australian films, it was brilliantly photographed (Any Aus. scenery is great to see on the big screen). Most of the acting was excellent as usual with the exception of Nicoole Kidman. The film sufered the usual two deficits, poor script editing and poor film editing (ok maybe one and the same). End result was way too long. Worth seeing? Not really.
