I saw it with my wife on the weekend. She loved it, see it again , fantastic, main reason 4 her is she got a bit moist from Hugh and his role.
I wasn't impressed at all, its a chick flick. I have spent a lot of time in the Kimberley and I thought the movie looked like it had been almost cartooned, with digital effects.
Each to their own, I guess if it helps the balance of trade in Aussie its good.
Just as an aside I was in a chopper near Kununurra approx 2 months ago and was taken around "Faraway Downs" (and the boab grove), which they built in 2 weeks and then aged it or rejuvinated it, depending which stage of the movie they were catering for. The chopper pilot had flown a fair bit for the movie, so I asked him did he fly "our Nic" etc. Yes he did, so I asked him what she was like and he said "She smelled nice"
