QF is not in the blockbuster pharmaceutical/diagnostic league. It is almost an "orphan" product as its major application is in third world and less affluent regions of the globe. It is therefore more price sensitive and eventhough it is unique and protected by patent Cellestis have got its market position pretty right and also its marketing strategy.
However the market is still very very important and sizeable and has only the old Mantoux test as worn out oposition.
It will be a rare classic success story for an Australian Biotech Diagnostic Company taking a product from Discovery, R&D, Regulatory to Marketing Globally.
