You previously owned shares in a listed public company (can transfer shares by broker ( on market) if in broker chess subregister or by off market transfer if on issuer sponsored register . You now however own shares in a unlisted public company ( was delisted from ASX) and you can only transfer shares off market on the issuer sponsored register.
You can hold shares in 2 formats on the chess register.
Issuer sponsored - company sub registry
Broker sponsored - Brokers sub registry - only listed shares are available on that registry.
Brokers can only effect transfer listed entities as the broker register is frozen when companies go into suspension, administration etc.
If company is delisted all shares owned by default get transferred from Broker to Issuer registry.
Once on issuer register it may be possible to transfer shares as long as the company is still paying the register and not frozen their register.
Companies in administration and liquidation usually freeze the register after a short window to reduce outgoing on registry fees keep register the same for communication they must make by law.
Delisted will probably make you sigh a off market transfer form or contract permissing them to create whatever document required to trasnsfer stock in future if ever possible.
