Hmmm. I'm thinkng the Matuara Milk proposition has become a lot more attractive.
Rio Tinto has just announced the closure of Tiwai Point Aluminium smelter. The smelter uses about 15% of NZ electricity - and this power is sourced from Manapouri. And the Electricity can't be shipped north.
So there is a ton of cheap power about to hit the market in in the next couple of years. Makes Mataura a bit more attractive
