I agree, in these uncertain times the amount of cash that a company holds is of utmost importance. If we all know that AMP was holding
$2.5 Billion before the Life sale, then got hold of another $2.5 Billion,
then you can bet that other companies are also aware of it, and are busy working out plans on what to do with it. They also pick up a company pulling in around $0.5 Billion /year as a bonus.
