That's a funny story in itself.
With provisional tax they wanted 2 million or so.
They fact was by that stage, I didn't have anything like that left.
I had a great accountant that convinced the taxation department that I wasn't able to pay that amount.
I ended up paying a fairly minimal amount but with the proviso that I couldn't carry on the next years losses into subsequent years.
A great learning experience, but it shows my ignorance at the time and no doubt there are probably plenty of others today with similar stories.
Youth is reckless and I was. These days, I am a lot more circumspect and the rewards are more modest.
Doesn't mean I would change anything. Sure there were times when I figured I had no idea and figured I should give the game away.
Today, if I gave it away, it would mean my life.
It keeps the brain active and keeps me from chasing women, lol.
