In fact, if one was to list national economies that are likely to be least impacted by the Covid crisis, the US will rank very close to the top of that list.
Because, as a % of its GDP, the US is one of the least involved economies in the relation to the rest of the world (see graphic below), and has the unique dual characteristics of a young demographic (i.e., a strong internal consumption driver), as well as a deep capital reservoir as well as ready access to global capital markets (for investment in infrastructure).
