Arena commissioned a fun study on BESS. Clearly lays out the benefits - notably for wind farms and households installs.
This report only reinforces my conviction adding a battery to wind is the highest value-add action in renewable energy.

I have to admit, the takeover of IFN has deflated my keen interest in the energy revolution. I am appalled by RR & team rolling over so easily.
As baldy usefully points out, the market would happily supply capital, particularly as knowledge spreads on the particular advantages of firmed wind-only kit.
I take comfort from market players soundly over-bidding the takeover offers. If IFN survives, it will need a new leadership team as the current mob show so little faith - in themselves.
