I first wondered that myself, but then on reflection, I concluded that the initial update was probably prompted by the board seeking to keep the market appraised of how the company was travelling during the extraordinary Covid times.

While today's update probably arose out of continuous disclosure obligations, following the striking of the June management accounts which would have showed that the company finished the year strongly.

So, while I might end up being proven wrong, I'm not sure there is anything untoward about the close proximity of these announcements; I simply think that it's a function of current circumstances.
