Could not agree more with Murdocks views Simco

One of the main reasons Howard and his government needed to go

They had absolutely no vision for the future and waisted opportunities made available with the resource boom their whole vision was based on dig it up and flog it off.

they had no plan beyond the boom apart from trying to lower working conditions. It is very sad when countries like UAE and even Iran seem to have more vision to plan past being reliant on oil, than the Australian government being reliant on resources.

Or Australian alternative energy companies taking their technology to California where they were offered government assistance because the Australian government did not want to know about them

The problems stated by Murdock did not appear after November 2007, they have been around for decades but got worse over the last decade due to the leadership of a lazy government

Will the current government be any better, who knows, they have started to take some steps in the right direction

And I will agree that their industrial relations legislation does not appear to be one of the steps in the right direction.
