You know, maybe I'm just dumb or something, but I don't understand all this negative talk at all.

I look around me, and everybody I know is working, same as usual, they are still shopping and spending, same as usual. What's changed? In fact, if anything, people are busier than ever, and would be up-grading houses, up-grading cars if it weren't for ...

... this propaganda out of the US about the end of the world.

In my view, this whole downturn is a "phantom recession" - it's not really there, but we'll have a recession anyway, just because we're scared we might. And in case we ever forget that we're supposed to panic, the masters of the universe in NYC will remind us.

Of course, in the US it's a different story - they really are up s*it creek.
