I don't agree with this, The image and public perception of a company has so much to do with it's success. At this point in time Tesla is the epitome of cool. The same way Apple was with millenials back in the mid 2000's. I never bought an Apple product because i saw them as massively overpriced when i could buy an android equivalent for a lot cheaper. The problem is many consumers don't see things this way. They want the hip / cool / popular brand which at this moment is Tesla not Toyota or Ford.
But seriously mate all that aside, would you bet against someone as smart as Elon to fail?
