Does that mean that Petrobras will share the downside. If the oilprce do not go above $65-70, Karoon Energy will not have to pay the extra. If Karoon energy is given on the same terms; original $650 mil down to $300 mil plus $50 mil deposit. $200 mil would have been paid off since Jan 2019. So Karoon just need to come up with $100 mil payment. The contingency will be $300 mil to be paid when oil price reach $65-70. That would be a good win for Karoon. Producing asset (cash flow positive at $20 oil price)+ $350 mil in cash. And no debt. Wow!
