I am not surprise at all with the manner ANZ has moved. Modern capitalism has adopted the policy of " better for you to die than for me to go hungry". Translate to business sense " better for you to go bankcrupt, rotting in the streets or commit suicide than for me to suffer a loss".
Where once we balance between rights and responsibilities; now is all about our rights first, second and last. Responsibilities, what responsibilities? Can't you read the fine print, stupid. Have you not heard, buyers beware.
Court cases are fought on rights not on responsibilities. Laws protect a person rights, and very little on safeguarding responsible ethics. That is why ANZ won and poor opes clients lost. Unfortunately, some toothless body is given the task of policing responsible ethics.
