Where your story loses some credibility is when you said;

Because Impossible, and Beyond are two different entities, or competitors if you'd prefer...
I'm also left scratching my head as to why the culinary capital of the world allowed the product in at all?

Not that any of the above really matters... but it's just your opinion, which is that you didn't like it, which is fine and your entitled to that.
Hopefully ROO are able to produce something of quality, agreed.. but it's not easy.
