I have just kicked over 300km on one I bought 2 months ago.

Range up to 30km, top speed about 18 km.

Good fun but really dangerous to be honest.

Time to charge from empty about 2 hrs.

You would want access to a good bike path to commute with. Small steps are enough to throw you literally. Probably about 15 kg so easy enough to pick up for short distances. Also can guide along.

A scooter is more practical. In Bne they have the rent with an app model scooter and used a lot more than the hire non electric bikes. The company charges them so no need to store in a commute situation. Just have to be able to find one to start.
