Appears a basic lack of understanding that the companies they invest in have actually got different amounts of shares on issue. Amazing ...
Lesson 1 Look at CSL - rarely taps shareholders for more capital because they reinvest more than most of their profits in future R & D & growth & distribute smaller dividend payout ratios.
Lesson 2 the noobs could turn their collective lights on by looking at BHP V CBA V CSL and question why 3 of ASX big companies have such different share prices - circa $38 V $70 V $300 respectively.
Don’t get into PE Ratios, ROE, Earning per share - Geez I would not want to scare them out of speculating !! lol DYOR actually means D Y O R
