New Guinea Gold's Edwards resigns
2008-12-10 10:22 ET - News Release
Mr. Bob McNeil reports
GARRY EDWARDS RESIGNS AS DIRECTOR
New Guinea Gold Corp. president and chief executive officer, Bob McNeil, has accepted the resignation of Garry Edwards as a director of the company, effective immediately.
Mr. Edwards's resignation is a result of his accepting a position with a company outside of the resources sector, which will require him to refocus his time and attention to his new position, making it impossible for him to continue as an effective director of the company.
Mr. McNeil comments: "Garry has been associated with the company as a part-time employee and/or consultant for over 12 years, and a director of New Guinea Gold since July, 2007. Garry has generously offered to remain available to the company at no cost to assist with any queries where he may be able to provide information to NGG staff during the transition period."
The company would like to express its thanks and appreciation to Mr. Edwards for his long-time contribution. The board and all other employees would like to extend their sincere good wishes to Mr. Edwards for success in his new position.
