Dave R, this is not really telling us anything we don't already know.
Arguments regarding gold as a currency have been exercised, for and against ad-nauseam. It seems either one is a believer or not. However when you say gold will go up over the next few years you are simply pointing to the fact that gold is now in a technical bull phase and has been for some time. Anyone who can read a chart will tell you this. They will also tell you that after a bull phase comes a bear phase.
So your comments about gold are merely reiterating what is obvious. Not really being critical of you as I do the same myself but just pointing out that gold can do well for its investors irrespective of what your belief is about its intrinsic value.
