So, what is your point?
Is that hourly rate in US$? Figures just thrown around like that are somewhat misleading. For example, does it include on-costs? On-costs are employee overheads, e.g. insurance, lighting, air-conditioning, cost of HR management, car parks, canteen facilities, perks, etc. (in Oz a typical on-cost would be an employer super contribution).
On-costs are usually about 50% (but of course it could be anything), so for example, that $75/hour could be $37.50/hour before taxes. Not bad, but for a country with a very high standard of living, probably on the low side for a skilled worker.
As to bankruptcy being the best option, well that's your opinion, but I don't agree.
