Go back and look at the recent results announcement, and pay attention to the cross sections provided. All the significant intercepts were in fresh rock/lower saprock, confirming the ore zones are primary, and not secondary enrichment zones in the regolith (ie. like the 22m @ 4g/t could be), which in this area could be transported. Important distinction when it comes to evaluating the potential of the area.
The paper you are referring to uses broad scale tectonics/deformation history and lithological evolution to compare the Vic goldfields with the Tib goldfields, and whilst yes, it is generalised (lack of geological data at Tib due to lack of exploration doesn't help), geologically speaking - the similarities are numerous (host rocks - turbidite and basalt stacks, mineralisation composition, gold nature, structural deformation and tectonic history) and provide an excellent exploration model for the Mhc team. Having a successful targeting model that has worked in analogous geological terrains is such a massive benefit.
