Sort of. There's a lot of problems with it that stem from the very original idea. Different people see different issues, depending on their age group and their media consumption.
For instance if you ask a right-wing boomer what the problem with is in the west - they might well talk about Islam invading.
If you speak to someone younger, the might talk about Judaism or cultural marxism.
However if you step back and look at those two religions - one thing they do not have is a split between church and state - which our governments are predicated upon.
This inevitably leaves government to only materialist pursuits - as spirituality isn't their responsibility. So therefore, governments in the west end up just "an economy" - which is itself an invitation to attack by more robust political ideas, as it doesn't defend itself against them - as long as their presence makes money.
The entire system has been faulty from the beginning. We've been running off long held ideas that were not really part of the system (like tradition, religion, national pride), and as those ideas fade and die, the system becomes untenable.
I'm not particularly religious, just stating the issue as an example.
