    Hydroxide mostly comes from Spodumene (hard rock) as the converters can produce it in one step. Whereas to go from brine to hydroxide is two steps, carbonate and then hydroxide.
    With the increase of Nickle in batteries, moving to 8,1,1, the switch to hydroxide is for stability.
    Lake would not be mixing the product with anyone, and the early testing showing above 99.5% Li2CO3.
